Dear Lynx families/Chères familles Lynx,
Teachers are preparing for some great learning and networking at the Calgary City Teachers' Convention Thursday and Friday. No School for students for these two days. Some of the opportunities include learning about Art techniques, applying Math manipulatives in the classroom and exploring second language learning in authentic settings. We value this convention time to gain valuable strategies for our pedagogy and teaching practice.
Monday is Family Day, and we hope you enjoy time with whomever creates your family. We wish you and your family a wonderful long weekend.

New School Website
All CBE schools will be switching over to new websites over this week! The tech team is working busily to migrate our content over. From February 14 onwards, you can find our website here: https://georgespvanier.cbe.ab.ca. All new information will be posted at the site of the new address from the 14th onwards.
Yearbooks
Our 2023-2024 Yearbooks are now available for pre-order IN THE OFFICE. The cost of a yearbook is $30 each and will be added as a fee in PowerSchool once your child signs up in the office. This year, we are aiming for a spring delivery so students will be able to have their yearbooks signed by classmates and teachers prior to leaving for the summer!
Band Camp Grade 8 & 9 students
Forms coming SOON! Ms. Ramos is looking forward to Band Camp with the grade 8 and 9 students on March 11 & 12 at Camp Horizon. This two-day and one night excursion will give students the opportunity to work with guest conductors. This will also include Clinics with specialized musicians. The MANDATORY parent meeting will be TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27 at 5:45, just before the Band Parent Association meeting. Looking forward to seeing you in person or online: Click here to join the meeting
