Dear Lynx families/Chères familles Lynx,
Welcome back!
I am very happy to see all the students back in the building and reengaging in their learning. Students have a few weeks left of semester 1 before semester two starts on January 28. This coincides with the release of report cards near the end of January.
This upcoming Wednesday, we will have a visit from two sitting MLAs, Members Samir Kayande and Lizette Tejada, who will be addressing our grade 9 students on the roles and responsibilities of the Provincial Government which is part of the Grade 9 Program of Studies. They will be joined by Ms. Laura Hack, our Trustee, as well as other CBE representatives.
Congratulations to all those students who have made our volleyball teams. I know that we had a record number of students trying out and it was very difficult for coaches to make final cuts. Practice schedules will be released later next week as will the season schedule.
Finally, please read below for some important system announcements and upcoming opportunities for GPV students.
Bonne fin de semaine,
Mr. Chad Edmonds – Principal Georges P Vanier School
