Dear Lynx families/Chères familles Lynx

I wanted to start this message with some feedback from the Kiwanis Watch award evening.  The organizers shared the following with us about our students, “they spoke with such confidence, insight, and heart. They were a real highlight of the program!”  Congratulations again to the 10 students who won these recognitions and for representing themselves and Vanier so well.

A reminder that next week we have PATs for grade 6 and grade 9 Monday to Thursday.  We still have regular classes for grades 7 & 8; however, we are asking these students to be mindful and quiet as they move around the school.

This will be the last week our cafeteria serves hot meals at lunch.  It will continue to operate during the final week of school but with a more limited menu.

Please see some of the messages below for some summer opportunities that the CBE would like to share with families.

Bonne fin de semaine,

Mr. Chad Edmonds – Principal École Georges P. Vanier School

All Sport One Day 2025

All Sport One Day is a fantastic, free sport discovery event designed specifically for children and youth aged 6 to 17. It offers a unique opportunity for young participants to try out a new sport or physical activity in a fun and supportive environment.

Whether your child is curious about learning a new skill or simply eager to get active, this event is an excellent way to introduce them to the world of sports without any financial commitment. By participating, kids can explore different sports, discover their interests, and potentially find a new passion, all while making new friends and staying active.

All Sport One Day 2025 will be held on Saturday, June 21 and Saturday, Aug. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
