Dear Lynx families/Chères familles Lynx

Welcome back to our grade 8 students who were out at Camp Chief Hector this week.  Speaking with students, it sounds like it was a successful trip, and the students had a lot of fun.  Thank you to Mr. Brown for spearheading this trip and to all the other staff and parent volunteers who attended.

Looking at the weeks ahead, we are beginning to wrap up the year.  If you are planning on not being at Vanier next year, and have not already done so, please let me or our office staff know.  We would be happy to assist you with any of the transfer processes you require.

Finally, we still are looking for 1 volunteer for the upcoming track and field day at Foothills Athletic Park. If you are able to volunteer, please contact Mme. Dunn at madunn@cbe.ab.ca

Bonne fin de semaine,

Mr. Chad Edmonds – Principal École Georges P. Vanier School

Vaping Awareness

March was vaping awareness month, and while I was a bit late, I wanted to share a piece of work done by one of the students at Vanier (click here ).  I hope it gives you a teenager's viewpoint on the issue and perhaps provides you with an entry point to have a conversation with your child(ren) about this important issue.

Overdue Books

Ms. Ana, our library assistant, is now beginning the process of cataloguing our current book inventory at GP Vanier.  Teachers have been connecting with students to remind them to return any overdue items by the end of the month.  If families could please remind their children to check for any overdue books at home, that would be much appreciated.
