Dear Lynx families/Chères familles Lynx,
I hope that families enjoyed some time together over this spring break and that students are excited (or at least ready) to come back to school tomorrow. I decided to postpone the weekly update for a week so that families got a reminder of the week ahead closer to the students’ return.
While it is belated, I do want to congratulate our Jr. Girls’ volleyball team for winning the division title, here at Vanier before the break. They won the title in a close, 3-set match, against second place Senator Patrick Burns.
Also, facilities staff returned to work on the Friday before the break. They have been working over the break to ensure schools are clean and ready for students on Monday. This also means that after-school activities are able to continue. For those of you looking forward to trying out badminton, please listen to the morning announcements, check the PE hallway and our TV screens for more information. Families, I will be sending out more information on tryouts once the dates have been finalized.
Finally, to all those families recognizing Eid, I wish you a a peaceful and joyous day.
Bonne fin de semaine,
Mr. Chad Edmonds – Principal Georges P Vanier School
Fee Update
All Semester 2 Course Fees are uploaded to your accounts.
Please be sure to pay all fees as this directly impacts the supplies/field trips and activities your students are able to do/be a part of in their classes. We are seeing a large amount of course fees not being paid.
Please log in to your accounts to pay school fees. You can also send a cheque or cash to the school if this is easiest for you.
If you are unable to pay your fees, please go onto the CBE website to see the options available to you.
Any further questions, please feel free to call the school or email Beth Gilkes at eagilkes@cbe.ab.ca.
