Dear Vanier families
Next Friday, September 26, we will be having our annual Terry Fox run. Messaging around fundraising has been shared with students on announcements over the past few days. Fundraising will continue until the date of the run. Thank you to Ms. Ramos for organizing the day and to our leadership students for organizing the fundraising.
As we begin our sports’ seasons, I want to let families know that we very much appreciate your support and seeing you out at the events. This year (thanks to Mme Dunn) we are also hosting soccer games for the first time since I started working here. It means a lot to the students to see family members at the games cheering them on. If we are playing at another school, student spectators must be accompanied by an adult. If they are not accompanied, they will not be permitted to watch the games and they will be asked to leave by the visiting school. All schools in our area will be sharing similar messaging with students and families.
Our first school council meeting will be next Tuesday, September 23 at 7pm. We would love for you to join us either in person or online. Please watch your email early next week for the link to the meeting if you want to join virtually.
Finally, I will be sending out another email to all families that outlines some of the new ministerial orders connected to education. This will hopefully give families more information and resources around these new regulations and how they will be addressed in CBE schools.
Bon week-end

School Store Items Available!
There are some items available to purchase from the school! See the items below and their prices. To get these items, the fee is available for you to add to your “Cart”. Once you pay for the items, please have your student come to the Main Office and talk to Ms. Beth and she will get the items ordered for your student.
A few things to note!
- Sales are final. We can’t take back anything that has left the office.
- If you order a T-Shirt or Shorts, when the student comes to the office, we will assist the student in selecting the size that they are comfortable with.
- You MUST pay for all items before the student can pick them up from Ms. Beth. Ms. Beth will go into the system and check for payment before giving the student their items.
- If you ordered and paid for an item, and we don’t have the correct size, the amount paid will be applied to any outstanding school fees. If there are no current outstanding school fees, either a refund can be done in the form of a cheque, or it can stay on account for future fees applied.
