Dear Lynx families/Chères familles Lynx,
I hope your children have enjoyed their first full week back at GP Vanier. We have really hit the ground running here.
Our sports schedule has kicked off with tryouts in basketball and soccer. A huge thank you to the parents we had volunteer to come out and help coach/assistant coach our sports teams. You are a big reason that we are offering so many activities to our students. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Mme Dunn (madunn@cbe.ab.ca) and let her know.
Our Cross-Country team starts running next week with their first meet on Wednesday the 11th at Annie Gale school. We had almost 100 students attend the meetings and want to be part of this team! Best of luck to our athletes next week.
Parents, please check your email for a notice from the CBE in regards to online forms to be completed. These include, amongst other things, a demographic verification that updates our systems on contact details. It is important these are completed so we have the most up-to-date information.
Finally, I want to thank all the families and staff that joined us on Thursday evening for our meet the teacher evening. Creating a safe, welcoming school is a community endeavaour and working collaboratively is an essential piece of making Vanier what it is. Attending evenings like last night is just one of the many ways that we can connect and begin building collaborative relationships.
I look forward to seeing more of each of you in the future.
Bonne fin de semaine,
Mr. Chad Edmonds – Principal Georges P Vanier School

Thank you for supporting our community!

We are still in need of a Senior Boys Basketball Coach, otherwise this team will not be able to run this year. Please contact Mme Dunn at madunn@cbe.ab.ca.
