Weekly Update Nov. 13-17 | Well-Being Webinars, Sports Dates
Dear Lynx families/Chères familles de Lynx,
Yesterday we recognized Remembrance Day with our first whole school assembly of the year. Ms. Ramos and her band performed, and Sub-lieutenant Anie Udofia spoke with the students about the importance of recognizing the humanitarian role that soldiers play keeping people safe around the world, and here in Canada.
We also welcomed back our grade 6s from their 3-day trip to Camp Chief Hector. Speaking with students and staff, the trip was an overwhelming success! I hope this is harbinger of the upcoming Grade 9 trip to the same location.
For both the assembly and the grade 6 field trip, parent involvement and volunteerism were essential. You play such an important role in your child(ren)’s life and here at Vanier. Thank you so much for all the help you provide and all the work you do at home with our students.
I hope that you all get to spend some time as a family over the break and we will see the students back here on Wednesday November 15th
Bonne vacances,
Chad Edmonds – Principal GP Vanier
