I want to share some staffing updates heading into our next school year.
- Mme Scholz will be leaving us to join many of our French students at Wiliam Aberhart,
- Mme Aristou will be taking maternity leave for the birth of her second child in August,
- Ms. Chan has finished her very successful temporary contract,
- Finally, Mr. Prouse is retiring. We wish him health and happiness in his retirement.
- We would welcome Ms. Lara Soukoreff and Ms. Ashtyn Guevera to our grade 8 team next year.
- Mme. Sara Laaouad will also be joining us at the grade 9 French Immersion Math/Science teacher.
- We will also be hiring a few more temporary teachers over the summer
Finally, thank you to all the families, teachers and students for a wonderful year. It is through this collective effort that our children succeed and that has made Vanier “the finest school in Calgary”.
Our office will reopen August 26th for general inquiries.
For those leaving us, best of luck in High School, wherever it is you are going. For those of you returning, we will see you back at Vanier on September 2.
Have a safe and fun summer vacation.
Bonne ete,
Mr. Chad Edmonds – Principal École Georges P. Vanier School
